Check your operating system
Which version (32-bit or 64-bit) of ESET Smart Security
or ESET NOD32 Antivirus should I download?
To determine which version of the product you should download, first
determine whether you have a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. To do this,
follow the steps for your operating system.
Windows XP
- Click Start, right-click My Computer
and select Properties from the context menu.
If you have a 64-bit version operating system: Microsoft Windows
XP x64 Edition Version appears under System.
If you have a 32-bit version operating system: Microsoft Windows
XP Version [Year] appears under System.
Windows Vista and Windows 7
- Click Start
and right-click Computer. Click Properties
from the context menu.
If you have a 64-bit version operating system: 64-bit Operating
System appears for the System type under
System.
If you have a 32-bit version operating system: 32-bit Operating
System appears for the System type under
System.
NOTE: Unless you have purchased a high-end gaming or
graphics computer, your operating system is likely 32-bit. The vast majority
of home users have 32-bit operating systems.
Windows 10
- Right click Start (the little window in the bottom left corner), left-click System.
Look for 'System type': 64-bit operating system or
32-bit version operating system will be listed.
